  • Friday Musicale Event Guidelines

    Thank you for choosing Friday Musicale for your event. To ensure the smooth execution of your rental and compliance with venue policies, please review the following guidelines in full. This document sets forth the requirements and expectations for use of the premises and shall be deemed an integral part of your Rental Contract, unless expressly modified in writing within the Rental Contract itself.

    Please note:

    • All rentals require a payment of 25% of the cost of the rental to hold the date. Matters relating to payment schedules, refunds, rescheduling, and other financial obligations are governed exclusively by the terms of your signed Rental Contract.

    • Guidelines may be updated or revised by Friday Musicale at any time without prior notice. It is the responsibility of the renter to review and comply with the most current version of the guidelines as of the date of their event.

    Included Amenities

    • Concordia Ballroom Rental includes up to 120 padded chairs and 20 tables.
    • L’Engle Hall Rental includes up to 90 metal folding chairs and 15 tables.
    • Additional chairs may be rented for $4 each, and additional tables for $10 each.
    • Padded chairs may be substituted in L’Engle Hall for an additional $100 charge.
    • Rental includes use of the warm and prep kitchen (prep and reheat only).

    Additional Amenities (Available for a Fee)

    • Outdoor Space – Reserved outdoor space (for seating, food trucks, etc.): $500.
    • Audio/Visual Equipment – Access to A/V system: $350.
    • Steinway Concert Grand Piano(s) – Use requires advance rental: $300.
    • Front Office or Changing Room – Available for $100 per room.
    • Substitute Chairs in L’Engle Hall – Padded chairs may be substituted for folding chairs: $100, subject to availability.

    Renter Responsibilities

    The renter is fully responsible for ensuring the venue is left in the same condition in which it was provided.

    You must:

    1. Do not move, fold, or stack the provided tables and chairs.
    2. Ensure all guests, vendors, and personal property are removed by the end of the rental period.
    3. Remove all decorations, linens, and personal items.
    4. Dispose of all liquids in sinks before discarding containers.
    5. Place all garbage in provided heavy-duty bags and deposit them in the dumpster.
    6. Clean the kitchen area by:

      • Wiping counters and surfaces.
      • Removing all food and beverages.
      • Sweeping and mopping floors.

    7. Failure to meet these requirements may result in additional cleaning or damage fees.

    Food, Beverage, and Alcohol

    • Event liability insurance is required for any event serving alcohol.
    • Alcohol must be served only by a Florida-licensed bartender.
    • Beer kegs are not permitted inside any building.
    • Coolers must be placed on absorbent mats to protect floors.
    • Food and beverages are prohibited in the lobby, upstairs areas, stage, and backstage.
    • The kitchen is for prep and reheating only. On-site frying is strictly prohibited.

    Decorations

    To protect the venue, the following are strictly prohibited:

    • Aisle runners.
    • Floor wraps or decals.
    • Nails, tacks, staples, tape, Command Strips, or adhesives on any surface.
    • Confetti, glitter, birdseed, rice, sequins, or rhinestones.
    • Fog machines.
    • Fire performers, fireworks, or sparklers (including “cold sparklers”).

    Permitted items:

    • Bubbles and glow sticks.
      Real flower petals (outdoors only); silk petals (indoors only).
    • Enclosed candles in approved glass vessels only (votives, tealights, floating candles, hurricanes, etc.). Open flames are prohibited.
    • Banners or signs must be freestanding only.

    Auditorium and Stage Rules

    • Pianos may not be played unless specifically rented in advance. Nothing may be placed on them.
    • Candles, food, beverages, or seating are not permitted on the stage.

    Venue Policies

    • Friday Musicale is a smoke-free property. Smoking and vaping are prohibited anywhere on-site.
    • Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.
    • Children must remain under adult supervision at all times.
    • Soliciting is not permitted.
    • Parking is permitted only in designated areas; all guests must follow posted street signs.
