Rental Guidelines

Thank you for choosing Friday Musicale for your event. To ensure the smooth execution of your rental and compliance with venue policies, please review the following guidelines in full. These guidelines are an integral part of your Rental Contract and are binding upon the renter.
By signing the Rental Contract, the renter agrees to comply with these guidelines, including any updates or revisions that may be issued by Friday Musicale. Guidelines may be updated or revised at any time without prior notice and automatically supersede any previous versions. It is the renter’s responsibility to review and comply with the most current version of the guidelines in effect as of the event date.

Payments

All rentals require a payment of 25% of the total rental cost to hold the event date.

  • This payment is refundable within 48 hours of payment, less a $30 processing fee.
  • After 48 hours, the 25% payment is non-refundable.
  • All other matters relating to payment schedules, refunds, rescheduling, and financial obligations are governed exclusively by the terms of your signed Rental Contract.

Included Amenities

  • Concordia Ballroom Rental includes the use of tables and chairs (see inventory below).
  • L’Engle Hall Rental includes the use of tables and chairs (see inventory below).
  • Rental includes use of the warm and prep kitchen (prep and reheating only).

Additional tables and chairs may be available for an added fee, subject to availability and written confirmation.

The following tables are included with your rental of either Concordia Ballroom or L’Engle Hall. Additional tables may be brought over from the other building for $10 per table, subject to availability.

Availability of additional tables is not guaranteed and is not finalized until the final walkthrough, which occurs after the rental balance is paid in full.

The following chairs are available in each building as noted. Additional chairs may be brought over from the other building for $4 per chair, subject to availability and final confirmation at the walkthrough.

  • Reserved Outdoor Space (for seating, décor, food trucks, etc.): $500
  • Audio/Visual Equipment (equipment only; no technician): $350
  • Steinway Concert Grand Piano(s) – Any use, uncovering, opening, or exposure (including “as decoration”): $350 per piano
  • Piano Tuning: $200
  • Upstairs Access: $100
  • Downstairs Storage Room Access: $100

Renter Responsibilities

The renter is fully responsible for ensuring the venue is left in the same condition in which it was provided.

You must:

  • Not fold, stack, remove, or store tables or chairs, or move them outside or into closets.
    • Chairs may be temporarily moved as needed for cleaning but must remain in the rental space.
  • Ensure all guests, vendors, and personal property are removed by the end of the rental period.
  • Remove all decorations, linens, and personal items. Friday Musicale is not responsible for items left behind.
  • Dispose of all liquids in sinks before discarding containers.
  • Place all garbage in provided heavy-duty bags and deposit them in the dumpster.
  • Maintain the kitchen in clean condition:
    • The kitchen will be clean at the start of your rental and must be returned to the same condition.
    • Wipe counters and surfaces.
    • Remove all food and beverages.
    • Sweep and mop floors.

Failure to meet these requirements may result in additional cleaning or damage fees.

Food, Beverage, and Alcohol Policies

  • Event liability insurance is required for any event serving alcohol, without exception.
  • All alcohol must be served by a Florida-licensed bartender, regardless of alcohol type (beer, wine, or spirits).
  • Beer kegs are not permitted inside any building.
  • Coolers must be placed on absorbent mats to protect floors.
  • Food and beverages are prohibited in the lobby, upstairs areas, stage, and backstage.
  • The kitchen is for prep and reheating only. On-site frying is strictly prohibited.

Decorations

To protect the venue, the following items are strictly prohibited and will result in cleaning and/or damage fees:

  • Aisle runners.
  • Floor wraps or decals.
  • Nails, tacks, staples, tape, Command Strips, or adhesives of any kind on any surface.
  • Confetti, glitter, birdseed, rice, sequins, or rhinestones.
  • Fog machines.
  • Fire performers, fireworks, or sparklers (including “cold sparklers”).

Permitted Items

  • Bubbles and glow sticks.
  • Real flower petals (outdoors only); silk petals (indoors only).
  • Enclosed candles in approved glass vessels only (votives, tealights, floating candles, hurricanes).
    • Unenclosed or exposed flames (such as tapers or pillar candles without glass) are prohibited.
  • Banners or signs must be freestanding only.

Auditorium and Stage Rules

  • Pianos may not be played, uncovered, opened, or exposed unless specifically rented in advance.
    • Payment is required even if the piano is not played and is only visible.
    • No items may ever be placed on or inside any piano.
  • Candles, food, beverages, or guest seating are not permitted on the stage.

Outdoor Space Use

Guests may be outdoors; however, no setup of any kind is permitted outside unless the outdoor space is reserved.

Without reserving outdoor space, renters may not place or use:

  • Tables or chairs
  • Decorations
  • Food trucks
  • Tents
  • Equipment or structures of any kind

Venue Policies

  • Friday Musicale is a smoke-free property. Smoking and vaping are prohibited anywhere on-site.
  • Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.
  • Children must remain under adult supervision at all times.
  • Soliciting is not permitted.
  • Parking is permitted only in designated areas; all guests must follow posted street signs.
