Dreamboat Poetry + Music

This December, we’re thrilled to bring Dreamboat Poetry back to Friday Musicale! Featured reader is Destiny Hemphill (she/her) a ritual worker and poet based in Durham, NC. Destiny is a recipient of fellowships from Naropa University’s Summer Writing Program, Callaloo, Tin House, and Kenyon’s Writers Workshop, and the author of the poetry chapbook Oracle: a Cosmology (Honeysuckle Press, 2018). Also reading are Dustin Brookshire and Fati D. Featured musical act is the indie-jazz trio Taurus People, co-led by saxophonist Joel Klein, with guitarist Aidan Finn and pianist Evan Anderson. Dreamboat is a free event (RSVP recommended). Doors 6:30 / event starts 7pm.
