Friday Musicale Cares

Friday Musicale Cares is a community outreach effort established in 2018. This arm of Friday Musicale is proud to support music scholarships, host music competitions, provide outreach to schools, create educational programs that benefit our youth, and offer the use of our facilities for special events. We strive to work hand in hand with other nonprofits in the Jacksonville community enriching current and future music lovers.

Marian Armington Waterman Poitevent Instrumental Scholarship

This scholarship is granted to graduating high school seniors from Northeast Florida pursing a degree in music. The four-year scholarship is paid out over a 4 year period to an outstanding instrumental musician.

Susan C. Mahla Instrumental Piano Scholarship

The Susan C. Mahla Scholarship Award is granted to graduating high school seniors from Northeast Florida pursing a degree in music.  This four-year scholarship is awarded to an outstanding pianist once every four years.  The scholarship is awarded in Memory of Susan C. Mahla.

Competition and concert showcases the area’s best pre-college pianists. Students from all around the First Coast are nominated by their piano teachers.  Competition for pianists in grades 5 – 12.

The Shirley Pinner Warner Memorial Opera Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a college student in the study of the art form of opera that was so dear to the heart and legacy of Shirley Pinner Warner.
