1st Coast Flute Choir [POSTPONED]

Enjoy an evening of versatile program presented by the First Coast Flute Choir, entitled “Classical to Contemporary,” featuring timeless works of the Mozart, John Phillip Sousa, Stephen Foster, to the Beach Boys, and Pharrell Williams. From the Classical Era to standard Americana, and toe-tapping top 40 hits, repertoire will include “Flight of the Bumblebee”, a “Jim Croce Trilogy”, and a beautiful rendition of a Disney medley from the popular movie, “Beauty and the Beast.”

The First Coast Flute Choir is an elite ensemble made up of 8-12 regional members with various backgrounds, featuring all members of the flute family: piccolo, C flute, Alto flute in G, Bass flute, and Contrabass flute. The organization, established in 2014, creates a cultural outreach for the community, providing an opportunity for members to share their artistic expression. Rehearsals and concerts are times for fellowship with members, families, and friends. The First Coast Flute Choir is committed to entertaining audiences with the polished, high quality music of many styles, cultural heritages, and historical periods. The ensemble has performed for the community at large throughout Jacksonville and its the surrounding area, to state-wide events including the Florida Flute Convention in Orlando, FL. Concerts have included a broad range of venues, from the Riverside Arts Market, to churches, senior centers, holiday festivals, and concert halls.
