The FUNdamentals of Jazz Presented at Susie E. Tolbert Elementary School May 19, 2015 [caption id="attachment_909" align="alignleft" width="272"] Around 325 students enjoyed the presentation![/caption] Friday Musicale presented The FUNdamentals of Jazz: How Jazz Plays a Major Role in Current Pop Music by the John Lumpkin Trio to grades K-5 at Susie E. Tolbert Elementary School.  This was the first educational outreach presentation presented by Friday Musicale at Susie E. Tolbert Elementary School.  Principal Lashawn Blackshear welcomed the students and introduced the program. 2015 Scholarship Recipients Awarded On Saturday, March 28, 2015, Friday Musicale and the Florida Federation for Music: St. John's District co-presented their scholarship competitions at the Friday Musicale Auditorium, located at 645 Oak Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204. Applications were available throughout February and March 2015 and were open to all graduating high school seniors that would be majoring in music in college.
